Cloudy Skies and Light Rain to Persist in Karachi
KARACHI: The Met Office has forecasted that Karachi will continue to experience light rainfall or drizzling on Monday (today), as cloudy skies and breezy conditions dominate the weather in the city, ARY News reported. Late last night, several parts of Karachi witnessed drizzling, with the minimum temperature recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Karachi today could rise to 32 degrees Celsius, accompanied by 85 percent humidity in the air, as reported by the weather office. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 18 kilometers per hour from the southwestern direction, contributing to the breezy atmosphere.
Rainfall Expected Across Sindh, Heavy Showers in Certain Areas
In addition to Karachi, the Met Office has predicted that most districts in Sindh will experience partly cloudy and humid weather today. While light rainfall or drizzle is expected in Sindh’s coastal areas, including Karachi, some regions may experience more significant rainfall. Areas such as Tharparkar, Sanghar, Umarkot, Sukkur, Khairpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, and Dadu are likely to receive heavy rain today, according to the weather report. The monsoon system impacting these regions is expected to bring significant rainfall, providing much-needed relief to the dry areas.
Monsoon System to Influence Weather Across Pakistan
The influence of the monsoon weather system is not limited to Sindh alone. The Met Office has also predicted rain in other regions of Pakistan, including Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan. These areas are likely to see varying levels of rainfall, contributing to the overall weather pattern across the country. This widespread monsoon activity is expected to impact multiple provinces, bringing much-needed rain and influencing the weather patterns significantly across the nation.
